Had to say Farewell to Molly last week . . . feeling very sad

Say not in grief, "They are no more", but live in thankfulness that they were.  Hebrew Proverb

Mammas Memory (Molly) 4/28/2001 - 10/25/2013
AJ's Butch (Jack) 3/21/2002 - 2/11/2010

The Escape was purchased primarily for the dogs

They loved the trailer - and I got teased for giving them the 'big' bed

In my memory, they will always be full of life and running free.

  1. Aww, I'm sorry. It's just not easy to say farewell. Love your photos of your fur-kids.

  3. I'm so sorry, Anne. That has to leave a big, gaping hole in your life.

I hope that memories of your time together will comfort you.

  4. We don't "know" each other (I have a Boler trailer so I think maybe I found your blog somehow via a fiberglass trailer link), but I wanted to write to say I'm sorry to read about Molly. Sorry for your sadness, I mean. I really enjoyed the great photos of both Molly and Jack in the post. I can see they were lucky, lucky dogs to have you as their human (and the Escape!). They look so happy and full of life. Beautiful dogs.

PS: I had a best bud for 16 years (he loved the Boler). It sure was hard to let him go in the end. I know how sad and empty and quiet it is (especially) right afterward. If you feel like it, I know I would enjoy any more photos or just anything you want to post about your pups.

    Take care.

  5. We love greyhounds and I would have liked to adopt if only we had a bigger yard back home. However, we rescued a number of cats over the past 30 years with two running our lives now. It never gets any easier to say goodbye and may even be worse the older I get.

Hope you find a new one to keep you company.

  6. Thanks to everyone for your kind thoughts! There is still a huge emptiness that my remaining pet (the small demon kitty) is trying her best to fill.

  7. Anne: We just found out that Molly died in October and know how hard that must have been for you. Our own greyhound Chelsea died last week, and we are still recovering from it. I have posted a few pictures including one of Molly and Chelsea here: www.flickr.com/photos/brian_vansnell/sets/72157630904616456
